Donkey Riding – always like this to begin the show! Although Ordinary Day was great as a beginning ad come to think of it, so is Process Man. Hmmm. Let me rethink this. Billy Peddle – Having not heard this for a while, I think they need to do it at all the shows. It’s just too much fun to bop around to. When I’m Up – It seemed to me that Bob was fooling around a little with harmonies here. I love his deep, deep voice on this one. Sea of No Cares – sounds wonderful very singable chorus: “Hey, hey, hey somewhere. You throw your fears in the sea of no cares” Karen says Chris Trapper had a hand in it. She’s the Pushstars expert here so we believe her. Goin’ Up – Alan was commenting on the fantastic view from the stage – out over the water. Wow! That’s the Atlantic Ocean out there! Just think! It’s the same Atlantic Ocean that washes ashore in Petty Harbour!” Séan: a really long time from now… and then Bob says something and Séan exclaims, “See! He does speak!” Boston & St. John's – One of two songs I don’t sing with the band. I close my eyes and imagine. *sigh* I hope she appreciates him.

The Night Pat Murphy Died - “was a night we’ll never forget. Mr. Bob Hallett got loaded drunk and he ain’t been sober yet! (Cue sheepish look from Bob) (New Song)Own True Way - Oh! My favorite new song! What a treat hearing it! Chris Trapper’s fingerprints are all over this one, too. One of the b’ys after the show confirmed it was a Doyle/McCann/Trapper song. "We came, we saw, we conquered and crumbled in our own true way." Old Black Rum – I love to watch Bob during this one. He has so much fun. He seemed to be singing more than usual here too. Alan: “We’re here tonight to have a hymn service. Please open your Catholic Hymnal to number 435 . Join us in singing Peace is Flowing Like a River. Well – everyone sort of stood there, stunned. He looks around and says with a grin, Alan: “Ahhh! Not that many papists around here, huh? Well, we will just have to do a sea shanty. Here’s Mr. Séan McCann with... General Taylor- Mr. McCann’s voice was strong and right on all the notes. Bob was singing the usual harmony for the most part and switched up a little in the middle to skirt around Alan’s harmonies. It was nice! Then Alan actually DID lead the “congregation” in a verse from the “Peace is Flowing Like A River.” The assembled multitude actually sang a verse and chorus of the hymn!

Lukey – not sure if Lukey was here, but it was in the set. Everything Shines – a little more singing by Séan here than there is on the CD. Old Brown's Daughter – They were absolutely the most adorable picture here! Every one of them stood at the mic with his hands in his pockets like little boys! It was too cute! Alan spoke of love and politics and how they don’t mix. Made the song out to be a political Romeo and Juliet. Had Séan shaking his head and I think Bob commented something funny here too. You’d think I’d have been able to pay attention when Bob speaks, but I was in shock I think. Consequence Free – more comment on how cool the venue was. “Boy! Can we play here EVERY Friday?” Alan asked. Somewhere around here a certain chatter who was standing next to me stage Alan and will remain nameless, decided that she was not in the attire she wanted to wear. (I had moved so Karen could take Bob pics). She dropped down to the grass beside me and I was afraid she had fainted, but I saw her taking her dress off! Wide-eyed, I watched as she peeled it off then proceeded to rummage thru her backpack for clothes. Talk about Consequence Free! Alan was wide-eyed, too, as he blushed beet red then turned to Séan, who went bug-eyed and he in turn, turned to Bob, who looked out to his left. I have no idea what Darrell’s reaction was as I was laughing my head off at the other three. Such gentlemen! After the quick change, said chatter was back on her feet dancing the night away. Jack Hinks – Very dancey, everyone was happily playing. Didn’t miss Bob’s sitting down this time.
