Almost as soon as Cap'n Bob turned off the engine, someone at the stern caught a flounder! In rapid succession about a half-dozen people caught something. Most of the flounder caught today was too small. Anything under 18 inches has to be thrown back. Attica was still cold but enjoying the trip with her Dad.

Dane was the first of our troupe to catch a fish, a flounder, but it was too small. Mate Jim removes the hook so it can be thrown back. Karen watches the process.
The Delaware Bay is a very busy waterway, with Wilmington and Philadelphia being world-class ports upriver. A couple container ships, a barge pulled by a tug, a ketch, a tanker and several fishing vessels passed close by while we fished.
