Great Big Fans

After the wonderful Bumbershoot show, Alan and Darrell were nice enough to come out to talk while (I think) Sean and Bob went to get the van. Gracie insisted on a picture of Alan's back. Yes - the girl is nuts!

The Bumbershoot show was Mom's second concert ever in her 85-year-old life. Alan and Darrell were both impressed and honored about this and invited her out for a beer - twice! I am sorry to report that despite my best efforts to get her to say "yes", she didn't.

If it seems I looked crazed, it's because I couldn't believe my Mom turned down bothe Darrell AND Alan. Some people would KILL for that opportunity. Maybe she's saving her fun for Bob and Sean. I think I must have been saying "cheese" or "Oh shit"  but I should have been saying "sex." That's what we said all weekend when we got our pics taken. Imagine Mom taking the shot - "say sex, now."

Sunflower was in 7th heaven  as she had her very first picture taken with Alan . If she were singing, it'd be 'Heaven, I'm in heaven..."

It's a wonder Alan didn't run, runaway after Gracie met him. But he agreed to a frontside pic with her.  See what a weekend with three Americans will do to a Vancouverite?

She only got crazier as the night went on, but Darrell wasn't scared either. Too many Starbucks  frappechinos and Baskins Robbins ice creams !
