Ride the Ducks!
This week the replica of the boat that landed the first settlers in Jamestown, the Godspeed, is here for a visit. They are sailing from port to port trying to drum up interest in visiting Jamestown for its 400th anniversary next year in 2007. Toutrs were being conducted all weekend.
Admiral Dewey's flagship, the Olympia, is docked here also. It figured proinantly in the Spanish-American War. Behind it (you can't see) is the Becuna, a  submarine from World War II, pride of the Pacific fleet. You can tour both of these ships.
Keep walking south along the waterfront and you will come to the River Taxi, which will take you over to Camden and back for only $6. What's over in Camden besides the prison and the Riversharks? The battleship New Jersey!
