After shooting in the breeze in the Game Room for a bit, we gathered our belongings and walked over to Union Station to catch the free shuttle bus to Ontario Place. Danielle, Columbine, Stephanie and Suzie were pleasant company for the trip over. I have a limited walking range and speed because of a car accident 12 years ago, so they allowed me to set the pace. Thanks, girls! By the time we got there, I was beginning to worry about walking around Ontario Place till showtime. But I figured I could always sit and do my cross stitch or Sodoku and send the others on their way if need be. Some of us grabbed hotdogs and sodas from the vendors while Columbine went in search of information about the shuttle inside the station. Within 15 minutes, though, a shuttle bus had appeared and Columbine had not. I was elected to go inside and yell for her since I have the biggest mouth. It served me well as I spotted her at the info booth and called her from the door. We all climbed on, joining our fellow GBS fans for the 15 minutes trip to the amusement park. It was a longer ride than normal since there were road closures that weekend for the Gran Prix race. But it was pleasant enough and dropped us off about a block from the entrance.
Suzie did her Mom thing and went in to get maps for us all. Our GBS tickets allowed us access to the amusement park and Danielle did an upgrade so she could ride the log flume. We took a left turn in the park and as we walked past the boat ride dock, I turned and saw Alan at the water's edge. He was being interviewed for TV. "There's Alan!" I announced.
Not wanting to seem too stalkerish, I stood at the top of the stairs and used my zoom to get him on film. I think Columbine was a little bothered by our insistence on staying, but she was a good sport. Suzie went right down the stairs and took some shots! She didn't have to worry about Alan recognizing her! LOL! |
