Natalie in NYC
After a particularly energetic tune and a particularly energetic respose from the audience, Natalie told us how much she enjoyed performing in New York City.

"There's such an energy in this city," she explained. "Look what it's done to my hair!" she gushed, showing off her curly, golden locks.

Then she went on to tell about the devastating injury that her guitarist had suffered just three short weeks before. There was something wrong with the trailer they carry their gear in and Brad Davidge had unhooked the trailer and started to move it when it slipped and severed the top part of a finger on his right hand.  They had it taken care of and he had been recuperating for the past weeks. Natalie told us that he had called  her on the phone the day before, telling her he was bored and needed to play. He flew down and boy, was he a sight when he strolled out on the stage!  Must be that Newfoundland spirit in him.
She also had a cellist fly in from California to help her play a tribute tune to Peter Jennings. She had been asked to write something for a tribute show in October and this cellist had accompanied her. So, this being NYC, she decided to play the tune again and fly him out for the show. The tune was a wonderful air and I was glad she flew Rushaud out for the show. I was even happier when he remained out on stage to play with the band. I have never heard a cello played the way he played that thing! As energetically as Natalie played the fiddle, he played the cello, matching her note for note in some sections. Incredible!!!!
Surprises come in threes
