Songwriters & Boat Rides
Everyone left satisfied at the end of the Songwriter's Circle, both audience and songwriters. After Jim and Lillian relaxed a bit we continued down George Street to Jungle Jim's where we ate dinner. Doug, as usual, was hungry, and he was not the only one! On the way, we past a session going on at Bridie Malloy's. I peeked in to grab some shots and was delighted to see COlin Carrigan, Mike Walsh, Graham Wells, one of the Andrews brothers, and a few I don't know. They sure sounded good!

Evening brought the last hurrah for AtlanticFest. Jim and Lillian believe that everyone who helped out or performed should be invited to the post-party things. We were all invited to the gathering last night and for the boat ride this evening and the party at Erin's afterwards. About 30 people took advantage of Jim and Lillian's generosity and showed up at Dee Jay Charters along Harbourside Drive for the Boat ride. Our Captain, Randy, told everyone what they needed to know about safety and life jackets onboard and then we were off. We motored over to the Narrows, but to my surprise, turned around and went back into the harbour. I guess I hadn't heard the discussion about how rough the water was out in the bay. We had several people onboard who were scared to death anyway, so I guess it worked out for them. It was pretty neat though. We got to watch them load a container ship at the Oceanex dock. Lillian walked around the boat with the Edirol R09 and interviewed everyone on board.
