Terra Nova!
He began singing an acapella song from Newfoundland called The Flyer. It was sung to the tune of Wave Over Wave. He followed that with Squid Jigging Ground. Turns out he had gone squidding that morning and got squirted right in the eye! A set of jigs came next  and the Logging Song by Arthur Nichol which was about Twin Lakes, Newfoundland.

Then - Surprise, surprise! John Gosse, a biologist at the Park, and Jim Fidler joined Dave on stage. And Dave brought out a fiddle. Geez! I didn't know he was a fiddler too! “We formed the band backstage.”

They played some Newfoundland fiddle tunes, the
Congress Reel, Breakwater Boys Breakdown and another whose name escapes me. What an enjoyable end to the evening!
A young lady got up to dance a jig during the set. She was quite good!
