"Home" from Terra Nova
The ride home had a little detour as we rode a bit north to Sandy Cove Beach where Lillian took some photos for her work and I watched the people walking on the beach. That high cliff is a sand dune! No one was swimming here today but the last time I was here, ther had been several swimmers braving the chilly water. Sure was gorgeous! Jim and Lillian recorded a station ID for the ROAR on the beach and then it was time to shuffle off to St. John's.

We took a photo of the sign at the edge of Terra Nova Park on the TCH, as Lillian designed it for the 50th anniversary of the Park. Nice job, Lillian! When I looked at the next sign down the road, which was a sign that said MOOSE SILHOUETTE AHEAD, I was remnded of a funny story Dave Penney told about his mother as she travelled the TCH across the Island.
He said that they had seen several of those signs on their drive. He commented about having to warn people there was a silhouette of a moose on the side of the road to make you slow down and look. She looked at him blankly and then said, "I thought silhouette was French for Moose!" He got a big laugh with that one! About an hour later, we pulled into Clarenville for a pit stop. Lovely view of Trinity Bay from the Irving there on the TCH.
