Bound Down for Newfoundland
I think this is Butterpot Park on the way to St. John's from Argentia. It'a a typical scene on the way to St. John's. The rocks are "erratics" dropped by glaciers as they melted after the Ice Age.
Being too early to check into the Captain’s Quarters, Vic asked me what I wanted to do. I wanted to see Logy Bay/Outer Cove, etc. So away we drove to some of the most beautiful places on the Avalon Peninsula. I want to live in Flatrock. You’ll hear me say that a million times. I want to live in Flatrock. Someday perhaps. Outer Cove is a gorgeous place to live too. We saw a place where the Pope had blessed the boats and just had a wonderful time soaking up the sun.
I have lots of pictures from this side trip. I love this end of the Avalon!

Flatrock Harbour
There's one lone boat in Flatrock Harbour.
Someday I will live in Flatrock. See? I said it again - only 999,997 more times to go. I want these views from my window. I want to feel the breeze, smell the salt air.
