Bound Down for Newfoundland
We picked our way carefully back to St. John's since the spare tire was now on the car. Canadian Tire beckoned and they had 2 new tires on the car in no time! We weren't really hungry and decided to visit the Fort Amherst side of the harbour before dinnertime. I loved the view from that side. You can see the BAttery so nicely. I thought the only way to get that view was on a boat traveling thru the Narrows but I was mistaken. I wanted to go to the fort but we had to park soooo far away and my bad leg was bothering me from all the walking at Ferryland. SO another time. But I did enjoy taking these photos.

The first is part of the trail up to the top of Signal Hill

The second is  a scene I have cross stitched. Love that cathedral!

The next two are of the colorful rowhouses in St, John's.

Then, one of my favorite places in St. John's - The Battery. I'd certainly love to own a house there.

The last is of these two gulls who seemed to be posing for me as I walked all around the docks.
Regatta Day!
