Westhampton Beach 2009
After intermission
Bob and Alan strolled out and deposited themselves on the drum riser. Alan’s mandola/bouzouki began the lilting melody of the first tune and almost immediately hit a snag. But he recovered without any facial expression and I’m sure many didn’t even notice. Bob’s accordion joined in the melody and they picked up the pace when Séan plopped himself down with his bodhran.
The Irish Washerwoman brought Murray and Kris out and in the middle the original three simultaneously sang different verses of I’se the B’y! I like this tunes set! My apologies for the fuzziness of the photos.
Lukey’s familiar beginning guitar part came from Alan’s guitar as soon as the set of tunes ended. They all had a good time for this one and everyone was all over the stage. Solos sounded good as the audience clapped their hands in a constant beat throughout the song. The audience almost sang louder than the band.

I was surprised when the
Chemical Worker’s Song followed without a break for banter. I didn’t recognize Kris’s drum intro. Bob’s mic was turned up nice and loud.  This song is one that shows off the boys' vocal skills well and Kris’s percussion section just adds so much. I think Kris is playing three things at once up there.
Rock on!
