GBS at Wolf Trap 2010
Britt came out to collect instruments and we had another a capella song! Séan sang strongly one of my favorites from the new CD, Safe Upon the Shore. There must have been 4 or 5 thousand people there tonight, but you could have heard a pin drop. Except for Séan’s strong singing, all you could hear was crickets chirping in the dark night. It was a moment to tuck away to remember. He got very strong applause afterwards and acknowledged Murray for writing the lyrics. Murray stepped humbly up to the mic and blurted, “I just recopied from an old book.” Alan commented on how they shouldn’t be talking about copyright issues in the nation’s capital as it is, after all, the place where they make the laws.

And, yes, Sean is the barefoot b'y. He was barefoot for most if not all of the concert.

Gideon Brown was enjoyable and easily identified before anyone played a note – Bob’s blue balls came out and Lynda and I shared a giggle about that. I really enjoy hearing that song! Some really great songs came from that album! Those eyes!
